Grapes are from various vineyards in the Barbaresco DOCG, with a mix of limestone, clay, sandy streaks, calcium rich soils. Aged 24 months in large oak casks. Transparent garnet in colour, with aromas of rose, cherry, strawberry, tarry earth, trace of baking spice. Fine grain tannins and fresh acidity frame strawberry, blackberry, rose petal, white pepper, cigar box spice and a wisp of cedar smoke. Subtle spice and tarry earth linger on the red fruit finish.
