Passionate about preservation of the land and the area’s indigenous grapes, especially Ruchè, Marco Crivelli was the driving force behind Castagnole Monferrato’s DOCG status in 2010. Grapes are from organic and sustainably farmed vines in limestone and sandy soil, fermented and aged in stainless steel tanks. Garnet in colour, with aromas of strawberry, raspberry, elderflower liqueur, wildflowers, warm summer earth. Fine grain tannins gild raspberry, pomegranate, blackberry, rose petal black pepper and fresh acidity. Strawberry and red currant infuse the spicy finish.
