Mornington Peninsula Pinot Noir, Kindred Hill, from Principia tonight, a producer I’ve become quite find of. The nose is a complex web of wild strawberries and dark cherries sprinkled with anise, cinnamon, and ground cedar, whilst an undertone of earthiness also plays a part. There’s a crunch and juiciness to the palate that’s led by red cherries and wild strawberries and supported by negroni-like herbal notes, orange rind, and fine spice. It’s a complex and brilliantly elegant Pinot Noir.
