Winemakers for 6 generations in the Monferrato and Langhe hills, the Morando family is dedicated to the history, preservation, development and recognition of the rare Ruchè grape. All vineyard work is done by hand, fermentation is with native yeasts. Vines are 25 years old in clay and mixed sand soils. Aged in stainless steel, followed by time in the bottle. Transparent garnet in colour, with aromas of strawberry, cherry, wildflowers, trace of roasted nuts and soft spice. Red currant, cherry, pomegranate, violet and crushed black peppercorn are flanked by tangy acidity and firm tannins. Cherry, cranberry, licorice and roasted nuts infuse the silky finish.
