Swan Bay 2018 Bellarine Peninsula Chardonnay tonight, a wine from the Scotchmans Hill stables, and although it’s positioned as an “entry” wine there’s no shortage of quality on display. On the nose it’s fuller and richer in style, white peach, pineapple, citrus notes, vanilla and oak spice there too. The palate follows suit, fuller and textural, upfront white peach, melon, tropical fruit notes meld into crushed almond and marzipan on the finish, creamy texture, good length, zero complaints.
