Peccavi, Margaret River, are flying well under the radar

Peccavi, Margaret River, are flying well under the radar when you consider the quality of wine they’re producing, quite the achievement in some ways. In summary, their Cabernet Sauvignon is one of the best I’ve tried this year, the Estate Merlot is equal to those from Bordeaux, and this, their Chardonnay, is yet another beauty. Powerful and elegant on the nose, yet very pretty and floral. Lemons, grapefruit, pineapple and white peach, a little flinty, frangipani blossom, vanilla and almond. The palate’s beautifully balanced and textural, flavour packed and lively. Peach, nectarine, grapefruit acidity, and an oak infused vanilla spiced oats note on the finish. Yup, it’s quite the drop.
