10/26/2021, 4:42:34 PM 🍷 1964 Nervi Gattinara Riserva del Titolare Opening 56-year-old wine is a job best suited for the Durand wine opener. The ullage level was good for a wine of this age. Cork was a tad soft but relatively clean and wasn't depressed or elevated. The color was pale but broadly in line with my experience of Nebbiolo this old. Minimal sediment in the bottle. The last glass had some very fine sediment that made it through the strainer. The initial nose was a tad close and needed 30 minutes to open up in the glass. Full notes are coming soon.
