⭐️90/100⭐️ Còsmic Vinyaters Destí, 2019 📍Alt Empordà, Catalonia, Spain🇪🇸 🍇 100% Muscat di Alexandria ⚡️11,5 % Tasted: October 2020 Salvador Batlle Barrabeig is the main man behind behind the project of Còsmic Winemakers located in the very north-eastern part of Catalonia, 150 km north from Barcelona (10 km from the French border). The are craftsmen focusing on small production of high quality wines, made with creativity, with the greatest respect for nature and environment.
The vineyards are certified organic and the wines are super lo-fi with nothing else than grapes added during vinification, making the final product as natural as possible. Fermented and aged in steel tank at rested on the lees.
The maceration spends over 3 weeks, the wine is unfixed and unfiltered with no addition of sulfites. The color speaks for it self - a deep and powerful amber wine is expected.
And yes, indeed! The aromas are on fire from the very beginning offering very aromatic scents of fresh apricot, tangerine peel, mango, passionfruit, grapefruit, white tea and a wide spectrum of powerful floral and perfumed scents. The palate is medium-bodied with nice, firm tannins and a balanced acidity. Multi fruit juice with the bitterness of a kumquat mixed with over-steeped white tea, lemon juice, lychee and honey. Long finish with a nice yeasty creaminess and minerality. Lovely juice!!!
