Felice Anselma passed his dedication to native grapes, traditional winemaking and the belief in the relationship between land and grape to his grandson Franco. Grapes are from a hillside vineyard next to the VignaRionda MGA, with clay/limestone marls and gray-blue sandstone soils. Fermented in stainless steel with traditional floating cap fermentation in stainless steel with frequent pumping over, followed by 12-16 months ageing in stainless steel tanks. Dark red violet in colour, with aromas of black cherry, strawberry, cherry, black grape, a wisp of smoke, earth and spice. Black cherry, dried strawberry, cherry, pomegranate, rhubarb and blueberry are framed grippy tannins and fresh acidity. A bitter streak runs alongside black currant and smoky earth on the spicy finish. Luscious, plump, engaging. 100% Dolcetto 13.5% Alcohol Anselma Dolcetto d’Alba DOC 2017 #vinipiemontesi #serralungadalba #piemontewine #vinopiemontese #italianwinelover #piedmontwine #dolcetto #winereview #winelabel #traditionalwinemaking #vinoitaliano #vinorosso #redwine #instavino #winestagram #instawine #dolcettodalba #anselmadolcetto #anselma #caravino
