8/2/2021, 12:45:23 PM It’s crazy to think that a vine can live upwards of 130 years, the mind boggles. Outlaw OG 1890 Ancestry Shiraz, a wine from such vines, is in short, quite a treat. The nose is a complex and layered mix of dark berries, raspberries, plums, toasty vanilla, and spice. Very aromatic, Riedel working overtime to control the perfume. Similar story on the palate as a wave of rich dark fruit sweeps from front to back and in its wake a surge of lightly spiced vanilla cream, and fine, firm tannins. Jeez this is good. Old vines showing their class once again.
