The nose is fascinating, black cherry, plums, leather and sweet tobacco, butterscotch almost toffee coming through, unexpected but lovely. The palate is gentle and detailed, ranging flavours of cherry ripe, plum, dried herbs, and a coffee caramel sweetness pair beautifully with gentle tannins on the finish. New world Sangiovese doing the business here!
