Harvested from their best vineyard located at 2300 meters where the vines are own-rooted. This wine is a minimal intervention with zero new oak, which is a throwback to how Malbec was made when the winery was founded back in 1831. The wine is matured for 10 months in tank and 10 months in bottle before being released· 👁 Deep purple color· 👃 Medium+ intensity on the nose. Aromas of black plum, boysenberry, blueberry, cured meat, fennel, violets, and dried herbs· 👄 The wine is dry, medium+ acidity, high ripe tannins, high alcohol (14.5%), and medium+ body. The palate is layers of fruit and extremely smooth. The medium+ length finish of black plum, blueberry, and dried herbs· 🔔 This wine is all fruit, and it is not shy about it. The fruit isn't jammy. It is dark fruits combined with dried herbs and violets. This wine is mouth-coating on the palate, but not heavy due to vibrant acidity. The finish is straightforward but very persistent. This wine is entirely unoaked, and it shows off the purity of Salta fruit from nose to finish.
