Dr Edge South Chardonnay 19, the acid and intensity lover’s dream drop from the Apple Isle. This bottle was a part of a monumental Chardonnay tasting earlier in the week and I’ve since tasted it over three days now and it’s fair to say air and temperature (room temp) are this wines best friend. It’s precise, racy, and pure on the nose with white peach, nectarine, white florals, a pinch of almond essence, and funk, I love the funk. Pure and linear on the palate, acid-driven citrus and green apple intensity up front and spice that mellowed over the 3 days, as to the chalky texture that thickened to slightly almost glossy.
