Brothers Daniel and Jonas Brand are the 5th generation of their family to craft wine in the northern Pfalz region of Germany. Their 18 hectares of vineyards are farmed using biodynamic, low intervention and organic [certified] methods. Grapes are from vineyards 5-20 years in age, located in the valley around Bockenheimer hill, with limestone, loam and loess soils. Spontaneous fermentation with wild yeasts, unfined and unfiltered. Light gold in colour, with aromas of apple, lemon, herbs, hay and wildflowers. Pear, apple, citrus blossom and lavender are glossed by bright acidity. Citrus accent the crisp, mineral driven finish.
