Pascal Agrapart is a grower Producer and is committed to organic Viticulture at his family's Domaine. Vine age is among the oldest in the Côte des Blancs. The wine is a mix of 90% Chardonnay and 10% Pinot Noir from 1er and Grand Cru vineyards (from 7 villages surrounding Avize)· 👁 Medium lemon color· 👃 Medium+ intensity on the nose. Aromas of lemon, lemon curd, quince, flint, wet rock, yeast, baked bread, and cheese rind· 👄 The wine is dry, high acidity, fine persistent bubbles, medium alcohol, and medium body. Palate has a creamy texture. A medium length finish of lemon zest and flint· 🔔 This wine is $48. The best way for me to describe this wine is a high end Chablis 1er Cru with bubbles. The palate has good weight due to the addition of 10% Pinot Noir to round it out a bit. There are so many good Grower Champagne NV bottlings out there, but this is one the best values. This will improve in the cellar as well.
