Pioneering winemaker Michele Satta was the first winemaker to plant Syrah, Teroldego and Viognier vines in Bolgheri. His mission is “the continuous search for quality as the expression of the unique and unrepeatable nature of the vineyard and its encounter with the man”. Fermented with indigenous yeasts, aged in large oak casks 3, 4 and 5 years in age. Very aromatic, with plum, blackberry, black cherry, strawberry, woodsy oak, peppery spice, cinnamon, orange peel and Tuscan underbrush. Silky layers of blackberry, cranberry, black cherry, baked plum, fennel pollen, oregano and crushed black peppercorn are supported by velvety tannins and fresh acidity. Fruit and spice linger on the lengthy, plush finish. Silky smooth and refined, great balance and structure, lovely on its own or with a wide variety of dishes. 30% Sangiovese, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot, 10% Syrah, 10% Teroldego 13.5% Alcohol Michele Satta Bolgheri Rosso DOC 2016 #bolgherirosso #toscana #drinkitalian #vinorosso #italianwinescholar #winescholarguild #winelife #winelover #winereview #winelabel #vinoitaliano #instawine #winestagram #michelesatta #caravino
