Marco Marrocco revitalized and restored his family estate, in replanting the vineyards he closely followed the principles of biodynamic agriculture. He discovered abandoned, ancient Arce varietals growing on the property; Lecinaro, Capolongo, Pampanaro and Maturano and saved them from near extinction. Spontaneous alcoholic and malolactic fermentation with indigenous yeasts, no stabilising, no clarification or filtration. Aged in old French oak barrels. ‘Zitore’ is dedicated by Marco “To my grandfather Salvatore, to his donkey “Tresinella” and to the dusks and dawns we’ve spent together.” _ Bright ruby red in colour with aromas of strawberry, minerals, white pepper and wildflowers. Gossamer layers of strawberry, raspberry, pomegranate are framed by clean minerality and fresh acidity. Light, yet grippy tannins fuse into the dry, fruit driven finish. Airy, lively and fresh, fantastically gluggable. 100% Lecinaro 13% Alcohol Palazzo Tronconi ‘Zitore’ Frusinate IGP 2014 #lecinaro #frusinate #lazio #vinorosso #vinobiologico #vinnaturel #vinnature #vinvivant #glouglou #winegeek #organicwine #biodynamicwine #nattywine #terroir #vinoitaliano #drinkitalian #redwine #winelover #instawine #glassofwine #winelife #winestagram #palazzotronconi #zitore #caravino
