Aromas of blackberry, pomegranate, plum, black pepper, earthy, black olives, floral (violets), and a touch of volatile acidity (in a good way)· The wine is dry, high acidity, medium fine grained chalky tannins, medium alcohol, and medium+ body. Great weight and overall texture on the wine. On the palate black fruit (pomegranate, blackberry, and plum), black pepper, star anise, earthy, coffee grounds, black olives, and bacon fat. On the long finish getting a bit more reduced fruit and really strong floral note of violets· Overall this is a beautiful wine and it craves food with it. Great acidity, fine tannins, and purity of Syrah expression that is often lost on producers. Some oak usage here, but really a deft touch. The palate makes this wine. I keep notching it up a point as I taste it. So complex and elegant. Great 🍇 juice👏· If anyone knows more about this bottling please let me know.
