2017 Flâneur Wines - Flanerie Vineyard Pinot Noir (92 pts) @flaneurwines · ℹ️ This wine is 💯 Pinot Noir from estate vineyards in the Ribbon Ridge AVA in Willamette Valley, Oregon. The vineyard was planted in 2003 with four clones of Pinot Noir on marine sedimentary soils. The vineyard is dry-farmed with sustainable principles. Hand-harvested, native yeast fermentation, and 7% whole cluster fermentation. Aged for 18 months in French oak barrels with 21% new oak· 👁 Medium ruby· 👃 Medium intensity on the nose. Aromas of wet rock, pomegranate, black cherry, black plum, chicory, sage, and prosciutto· 👄 The wine is dry, medium+ acidity, medium- chalky tannins, medium+ alcohol (14.3%), and medium+ body. A medium+ length finish of wet rock and crunchy black fruit· 🔔 The slightly herbal floral (that I referred to as Chicory above) on the wine is unique. The pervasive wet rock combined with the chalky tannins screams minerality. This Pinot Noir is more black-fruited. The palate has sophisticated tannins that slowly dry out your tongue, making you crave for more. This wine holds 14.3% ABV very well due to the concentration and overall weight of the palate without being heavy for a Pinot. A winery making all of the right moves· 💰 ~$55· #vin #lovewine #🍷 #wineterroir #wine
