One of the world’s legendary winemakers, Bruno Giacosa was known as the “Genius of Neive”, he was dedicated to “traditional vinification, and an emphasis on terroir and typicity”. Upon his passing in 2018, his daughter Bruna, the 4th generation, is committed to maintaining her father’s legacy. Grapes are from hillside vineyards in the villages of Neive, Neviglie, Treiso and Alba. Fermented for 7 days/maceration for 5 days in stainless steel vats, aged for 7 months in stainless steel. Inky red-violet in colour, with aromas of black grape, black cherry, black current, blueberry and a shake of white pepper. Rich blackberry, plum, blueberry, cherry, red currant, wild strawberry along with a dash black pepper fuse with silky tannins and fresh acidity. Chocolate and black cherry are complimented with a subtle bitter nuance on the velvety finish.
