He makes 11 different wines from 14 hectares of vineyards in the heart of Bussia in Monforte d’Alba. Grapes are from 30 year old vines in a 1 hectare vineyard in front of the cantina in Bussia. The soil is clay along with blue marl and tuff. Fermented with indigenous yeasts and maceration on the skins “for about 10 days, aged for 6 months in stainless steel”. _ Inky red-violet in colour, with aromas of wild berries, earth and a shake of white pepper. Blackberry, cherry, raspberry, earth and black pepper are supported by silky tannins and juicy acidity. A trace of spice along with the distinctive Dolcetto bitterness compliments the dry, fruity finish.
