2017 Château Branaire-Ducru - St. Julien @chateaubranaireducru · ℹ️ Branaire-Ducru is from the St. Julien appellation in Bordeaux, France. The Château was classified as a Fourth Growth in the Grand Cru Classé of 1855. The blend is 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 24% Merlot, 6.5% Petit Verdot, and 4.5% Cabernet Franc· 🍷Since the 2005 vintage, I have been very impressed by the quality of this Château. These wines drink well when young with a good decant. Most importantly, they are a good value and represent the St. Julien appellation quite well. Ripe blackberry, blackcurrant, smoke, cedar, and violets. Good acidity, silky tannins, and moderate length finish· 📍 Tasted at the Union des Grands Crus de Bordeaux San Francisco @ugcbwines
