Gut Hermannsberg “Dorsheimer Goldloch” Riesling Spätlese Halbtrocken, 1988 - Nahe, Germany🇩🇪 Tasted: 9/9-2019 🍇100% Riesling WOW!!! I don’t know much about this winery. But I know one thing: Old Riesling is the bomb. of old Riesling, I’ve mostly tried sweet ones, but this was way different. Quite dry with a hint of honey and flowers. But most of all loaded with citrus and flint. It was so pure and elegant - and extremely rich in flavor. Would never have guessed it to be 31 years old... The price tag might be a little too much (later, I bought three other old G. Hermannsberg Rieslings for a way lower price - which I haven’t opened yet), but I would definitely pay the same again for this experience.
