Gluggable Barbera from 3rd generation winemakers Fausto and Cinzia Cellario. Located in the village of Carru, in the southwestern Langhe, the 30 hectares of organic vineyards are planted with only native Piemonte grapes. Hand harvested grapes are from vines in marl soil. Fermented with indigenous yeasts, 10 day maceration on the skins, aged for 12 months in cement tanks. Unfined, unfiltered. Inky red violet in colour, with aromas of blackberry, bramble, cherry and a trace of licorice. Dark berries, a bitter streak and silky tannins wrap around an earthy core.
