2018 Château Majoureau - Côtes de Bordeaux Saint-Macaire Doux· ℹ️ This wine is 80% Semillon and 20% Sauvignon Blanc· 📍 AOC Côtes de Bordeaux Saint-Macaire - a southwestern extension of the Cadillac region along the right bank of the Garonne River. The evening fog, followed by daytime heat promotes the development of Noble Rot. Swipe right for the map view 🗺· 🗒 Pale Lemon. Sweet meyer lemon, candied orange, ripe nectarine, and orange blossom on the nose. Medium-sweetness and good acidity· 🔔 Think of this as an appertif sweet wine that isn't that sweet or that high in alcohol. Honestly I could see this going with oysters and other shellfish. Coming in at 12% ABV it's quite light. Acidity keeps it fresh. This doesn't feel like it had a significant percentage of Botrytis (aka Noble Rot). It's simple and pleasant.
