2016 Big Table Farm - Cattrall Brothers Vineyard Pinot Noir (92 pts) @bigtablefarm @eolaamityhillsava · ℹ️ The wine is 💯 Pinot Noir from a single vineyard in Eola-Amity Hills, Oregon. This vineyard was planted in the 1970s and is own-rooted. The vineyard is organically farmed and hand harvested. The winemaking is minimal intervention the grapes are not destemmed and native yeast fermentation. Bottled unfined and unfiltered· 👁 Pale ruby color· 👃 Medium+ intensity on the nose. Aromas of ripe red currant, strawberry, black cherry, freshly ground cinnamon, oak, reduction, smoke, dried leaves, earthy, and rose· 👄 The wine is dry, medium+ acidity, light spicy tannins, medium alcohol, and medium- body. A medium+ length finish of ripe red currant, cinnamon, and earthiness· 🔔 There is a Burgundian sensibility to this wine, but still clearly Oregon Pinot. I love the earthy and cinnamon spice notes on the wine potentially due to whole cluster nature of the Winemaking. A hint of floral aromas leaves me longing for more. Beautifully ripe fruit without going over. Wonderful acid, subtle Tannins, and moderate alcohol (12.9%). This husband and wife duo really have it dialed in. 👏
